Roman Ruins????

After a few days in Santander with nothing much to do, we decided to head on a day trip! At this stage we still had 3 weeks to wait until we did anything remotely important. So on the advice of a passing friend I decided to take the other ausisies out to a little village to see some Roman Ruins. We trekked for hours in the cold, to discover an abandoned village in the middle of nowehere, which was really quite strange but beautiful. After hours of walking, with the snowfall pending, we left, disappointed to have never have discovered the Roman Ruins. On the path back, we eventually found a sign that said Roman carzuela, which means road.... we had been walking along it the entire time. Nice one! All in all an awesome trip, the Spanish countryside is absoloutly amazing, and cant wait to explore more.

Buen viaje!

After something ridiculous like 36 hours travelling I arrived in Santander tired and a little emotional. I was lucky enough to be met by a good friend who had been living in Santander the previous year, he and his wife showed me around Santander, took me and the other Aussies out for some Spanish dinner, gave me great advice and helped me to settle in to what will be my new home! Thanks Ben and Janelle.

Goodbye for now!

Well had the farewell on F riday, it was memorable, but there were a few too many of those maccu piccu cocktails. Thanks to everyone who came along, it was the last thing I had to do before I left for my big adventure, say goodbye to all of you. (not to mention the packing I still have to do)I will miss you all very much, stay in touch and keep rocking out in Sydney!
